In his book, My life – Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, he has told his story in simple yet amazing manner. He has given glimpses about impact his parents and surrounding had on him, during his childhood. He narrates how reading shaped his thinking, how communal harmony and understanding prevailed during his childhood days.

A mention about how a practical lesson by his teacher on bird flying gave him his dream – to become a pilot. Also, one can read about disappointments he experienced at different stages of his life. Most important lesson for readers how he didn’t let setbacks in his life to become obstacles for his future.

Dr. Kalam’s life is inspiring story of how a hardworking, common person with humble beginning became a distinguished Scientist and People’s President is no less than a miracle.
